Justification is by faith alone in Jesus Christ

Can anyone be counted just and saved by doing good works? by living a good life? by obeying God’s commandments? What does God say in His Word? 

Will you be humbled or exalted?

So, I ask you, what do you think God desires? To love one’s neighbor and help him on the Sabbath day? Or to refrain from loving and helping a neighbor because it is the Sabbath day?

When did God create the heavens and the earth?

When did God create the heavens and the earth? Again, the Bible answers that question for us when it says: “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth…” (Genesis 1:1).

Jesus is death‘s answer

Though Jesus does not intervene at every death and call the dead back to life, He has intervened for all of us in a much greater way. Jesus had compassion on us in our hopeless and helpless situation and tells us to stop crying because He is our solution.

What about angels? How did they come to be?

The Bible teaches that the LORD God, when He created the heavens and the earth, also created a great number of angels to carry out His commands and do His will.

Be careful what you sow!

God would not have us be deceived. And, God will not be mocked. If one sows weeds, he cannot expect to harvest wheat! So it is with our spiritual lives. If we sow to the flesh, we cannot expect to reap life, but corruption.

What do you seek first in your life?

Do we seek first God’s kingdom and trust God to provide for all our earthly needs? Or do we seek first our needs in this world and neglect our greatest need — to be part of God’s everlasting kingdom?

How did God create the heavens and the earth?

God created all things out of nothing. He created and called all into being by His all-powerful word. And, it is by that same creating word that all continues to exist.

Are You Guilty of Ungratefulness?

Aren't we a lot like the nine lepers? God created us and gave us life, and we take it all for granted and fail to honor and praise Him! We are infected with sin and are unclean and separated from God and His kingdom, doomed to hell, and He sent His only-begotten Son to atone for our transgressions and to cleanse us from our sins, and we ignore Him.

How does one cleanse his way?

We confess our sins and look to God with faith in Jesus Christ and His cross for pardon and forgiveness, but how do we now cleanse our way? How do we, as a fruit of our faith in God’s mercy and forgiveness toward us for Jesus’ sake, now live for our God and Savior and walk in a way which is pleasing to Him?
